NJ PANTHERS IS A HIGHLY COMPETITIVE YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL PROGRAM

"The Program" is open to all area youth players to try out. Boys and girls are placed on teams according to age group and abilities displayed during the tryout as well as during practices and tournaments.

Our travel team tryouts are held in March for teams forming for the spring and summer seasons. Travel players generally commit to a team for a year. For the most part, our teams are coached by parent volunteers who usually have a player on the team they are coaching. Professional training is offered to each player, through our training program.

The travel season begins in April and runs through the summer. Generally, there are 5 to 7 tournaments we will attend, one per month. Tournaments can be local or out of state. This is part of the travel flag football experience. Over the last few years, our teams have taken part in tournaments in Virgina, Boston, Ohio, Texas, Pennsylvania and Florida. We understand that during the summer months families travel; NJ Panthers' request is that you plan your trips around the tournament schedule. As mentioned previously, this is HIGHLY COMPETITIVE YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL. In order for us to be COMPETITIVE, we must show up to tournaments with our full team.

One of the unique aspects about NJ Panthers is that each fall our teams compete in the NFL Flag Regional Tournaments. Winners of each regional tournament qualify for the national tournament. This year's tournament will be held at the Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. Players will also take part in the Pro Bowl Festivities and attend the game.

We understand that many athletes play tackle football each fall. However, in order for "The Program" to continue to be successful; you must commit to doing at least 1 of the following NFL FLAG REGIONAL TOURNAMENTS:

New York Jets Regional Tournament                November of current year

Philadelphia Eagles Tournament                     December of current year

**If you cannot commit to going to the NFL FLAG REGIONAL TOURNAMENT in the fall the NJ Panthers organization may not be for you!**

NFL FLAG hosts a phenomenal national tournament and gives the best youth championship experience.
