Why choose NJ FLAG?
Total Turf Experience is Southern New Jersey’s leading indoor sports facility, offering a state-of-the-art, safe, clean, and weatherproof environment for athletes year-round—day or night. In addition to this premier indoor space, turf fields at Cherry Hill High Schools and Adventure Sports are also used throughout the season. Turf fields are highly durable and provide consistent access in all weather conditions, unlike grass fields, which often suffer cancellations due to rain or damage. By using turf fields, youth sports organizations gain reliable practice and game space without the risk of fields being ruined after heavy use or muddy weather.
Why should my child play NJ Flag Football?
With the rise of concussions and head injuries in tackle football, NJ Flag Football offers a much safer way for your child to enjoy the sport. Our program teaches the fundamentals of football in a controlled, non-contact environment, helping players build proper technique that can prevent injuries if they choose to play contact football later on. Beyond safety and skill development, your child will gain confidence, have fun, and create lifelong memories.
Is this a competitive league?
Yes, there is competition in every age group. Some teams are new and novice. There are teams that may have been together for seasons respectably.
What is the age cut off?
AGE CUT OFF AS OF January 1ST, 2025.
For example, if your player is 8 years old ON 1/1/2024, he/she should be participating in the 7/8 division EVEN THOUGH he turns 9 later that year
When and where are the games?
All games are played on Sundays. Games take place at Total Turf in Pitman, NJ for all seasons, with additional locations including Cherry Hill West High School in the Spring, Cherry Hill East High School in the Fall, and Adventure Sports in Jackson. Each season’s promotional flyer will list the official start date and confirmed location. Please note that all dates and times are subject to change.
When will a time schedule be available?
The official game schedule will be released only after registration closes and teams are fully formed with assigned coaches. Please note that the initial schedule does not include playoff dates. Playoff brackets and game times are created once the regular season has ended.
Can players register individually or as a team?
Players may register individually and will be placed on a team at random. If a group wishes to play together as a team, you can submit a roster listing all player names along with the coach’s name to admin@njflag.com, and the players will be grouped accordingly. However, each player is still required to complete their own individual registration.
Can you request teammates?
Yes, you can add a name to special request section during registration; however, requests are not guaranteed
How many players on each team?
We recommend 8-12 players on each team. Coaches can request more players if they choose to.
What kind of shoes should I wear?
We recommend football cleats or soccer cleats. We do not recommend sneakers!
Can I request a refund?
MAJOR LEAGUE SPORTS GROUP / NEW JERSEY FLAG FOOTBALL has a strict NO REFUNDS policy. Refund requests must be submitted by email (admin@njflag.com) before the registration deadline to be considered. After the deadline, only transfers will be allowed. If a player is unable to participate before the season begins, their registration may be transferred to a future season, with a $15 transfer fee applied.
Weather Conditions?
All games are RAIN OR SHINE. An exception would be if the forecast calls for lightning and/or thunder. NJ Flag will update the league under those circumstances.
